Outside the Sydney Hospital, there's a boar whose nose you rub for good luck. We had a similar, if not identical, boar at the University of Waterloo. Certainly its nose had the same property. [Update: It is in fact exactly the same. Here's a page about the boar.]

There's an obelisk in Sydney that's the zero point for all the signs that say things like "Sydney: 15 km". We ate lunch across the way at the Obelisk Cafe.
