We went with some of Kat's family to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. There was a wildfire blocking the road between the two parks for most of our visit, which required some quick plan changing, but the road reopened near the end of our trip, and we were able to get to Yellowstone after all.

Wildlife was a huge highlight of this trip! The animals we saw included: bright red dragonfly, tree swallow, raven, Merganzer duck, trumpeter swan, turkey vulture, red-tailed hawk, osprey, bald eagle, least chipmunk, Uinta ground squirrel, raccoon, beaver, fox, deer, pronghorn (American antelope), elk, moose, wolf pack, bison, grizzly bear, and our new favourite, the pika.
