The first leg of the hike brought us to this lookout tower. We did not climb it, choosing instead to save our energy for the rest of the hike. But this tower will be visible (from afar) for the rest of the day.

Lake Zurich

The lookout tower has a lot of communication antennas of various shapes and sizes on top.

As we start to hike away, we see the lookout tower and the nearby structure, which is presumably a communication tower of some sort.

We just thought this budding tree looked pretty, and it had that child's-picture structure of appearing to come out directly from the line where the ground meets the sky.

When we got back to the Zurich train station, we headed right back out by tram in the opposite direction to go to the Rigiblick funiculaire.
