On our way down from Telegraph Hill, we encountered the famous parrots of Telegraph Hill! We weren't even thinking we'd see them, but then we heard some suspicious noises, and looked up.

Sea lions at Pier 39! The vast majority of them have moved north to follow their food as water temperatures changed, but there are still some here.

See: the Segway did change the world. Before, there were no Segway tours of San Francisco, and now there are! (It was amusing watching them negotiate the hills.)

The next day, We did some geocaching, which, as usual, took us to some very nice parks with lovely views. This is Mission Dolores Park.

On Sunday we headed to Golden Gate park to do some more geocaching. It turned out to be Bay-to-Breakers race day. The park was packed full of people, many in costume, many quite ethanol-powered.

We did get in some geocaching, though, and encountered some local (non-human) wildlife. What a nice-looking turtle!
