Pictures from Ian and Kat's Digital Camera: Binary Birthday Party: 2 April, 2005
[Up to Party At Ian's Place ]

To celebrate my 32nd birthday, we threw a Binary Birthday Party on 2/4 at 8pm. [A couple of folks actually showed up at 8:16, which I suppose was even more appropriate to the theme.]

And binary tulips. In case you don't notice, the vases are also subtly binary-themed: their tops are vaguely "1" and "0" shaped. ;-)

After the party, Nikita and I tried to attach just the right amount of weight to the balloons that they would remain neutrally buoyant. We ended up using a water bottle with just a tiny amount of water, to balance five balloons. Here, Nikita releases the balloons.
