Ever since August 1998, I've been hosting a Party At Ian's Place about every one to three weeks. See The Party At Ian's Place homepage for more information.

This was the second Tactile Party I've hosted. At a Tactile Party, the theme is ``tactile''; i.e. things that have an interesting feel to them.

One of the best features of a Tactile Party is the Dark Room: we make the room completely dark, and you need to rely on your sense of touch. There are no pictures of the dark room, for a pretty obvious reason.

One side effect of the dark room, though, is that keeping all the dark in somewhat requires us to also keep most of the air in, so it tends to get really hot.

This may or may not explain some of the pictures.
