Pictures from Ian and Kat's Digital Camera: Upstairs bathroom
[Up to Renovations ]

Here are pictures of our house in Toronto, taken at various stages.

These are various renovations we did around the house.
Some work ended up needing to be done in the bathroom upstairs (the only bathroom, until we put in the one in the basement).

It's pretty bare to begin with.

When we found we had to replace the old galvanized pipe leading from the kitchen to the bathroom with new copper pipe, we needed to take out the sink in the bathroom. Since we had already removed the sink in the kitchen, we were now sinkless! This is what was under the sink.

Everything's all set. We waited a day to see if we missed a small leak, then we put the sink back together. Phewf.

Now we need to put up some more fixtures in the bathroom; there's almost no storage space.

We hung a mirror/medicine cabinet above the sink.

And then a deeper cabinet above the toilet. Now there's plenty of space for stuff.

Over two years later, we continue the work. There's one tile missing above the sink.

After the repairs: the tile is replaced (luckily, we had a couple of spares).

The next day, we decided to attack the mildewy caulk.

Scrape off the old caulk. Make sure it's clean and dry.

Give it a day to dry, and much better!
