The old back kitchen now has a floor at the same level as the rest of the kitchen!

While the floors are under construction, the cats have to be kept out of that space 24/7. Since the path to the basement (where their litter boxes are typically kept) goes through there, we had to move a litter box to the upstairs bathroom for the next little while.
