During the construction, the thermostat is in the under-construction half of the house. So they built a little chase that exposes the thermostat to the livable side. Hopefully that helps some.

The old window has been removed and the framing for the new window is in.

The water pipes running through the old wall have been removed and replaced with pipes at the edge of the house. There is now nothing where the old wall between the kitchen and dining room was.
