FC 2002 was in Southampton, Bermuda. Kat and I went, and took the extra weekends before and after to relax on the island as well.

We arrived a couple of days early for FC, as did some of the usual suspects. Here we see Ian, Nicko, Hinde, Lucky, Lisa, Matt, and Adam, after an evening out at dinner in the capital city of Hamilton.

These really cool lenses (reminiscent of Fresnel lenses) redirect much of the light emitted by the bulb to a more horizontal direction.

After St. George, we went to the Crystal Caves. These caves were discovered in 1907 by a boy looking for his cricket ball.

Kat, with the stalactites in the background. This is in Fantasy Cave. The stalactites grow at a rate of one cubic inch per century. No touching!

You can see the water in the cave. It's amazingly clear, and you can see the formations on the bottom (formed when the sea level was lower and the water didn't enter the cave).
